To All The Boys PS I Still Love You

The sequel to the very loved young adult rom-com To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is finally here!!! Like many other viewers out there I loved To All The Boys part 1, I loved Lana Condor as Lara Jean and Noah Centineo as Peter – I was excited to see where their relationship and love story would go especially with that cliffhanger at the end!

PS I still love you brings back Lana and Noah and in all the charismatic wonder, but it also introduces another potential love interest (which is what the cliffhanger was…) John Ambrose!! Weirdly the sequel ignores a lot from the first movie, and introduces a lot of new information which makes this movie far more interesting, but creates so much plot issues for Part 1 when you go back to rewatch it.

The storyline is similar to the first one as the letters are a pivotal plot, as is Lara Jean and Peter’s relationship. There are a lot of cliche/cute moments spread throughout the movie, and the relationship feels realistic and believable – as does the natural relationship that forms between Lara Jean and John Ambrose.

While I did really enjoy To All The Boys PS I Still Love You and I would happily watch it again, the plot does become quite repetitive in Lara Jean second guessing her relationship due to John Ambrose, the absence of Josh without any explanation, and typical teenage self esteem couple issues that remind me that maybe I am a little too old for these type of films.
