“What an asshole!” is the phrase I kept uttering all through this week’s episode of DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, after the shock of Connor/Hawkman dying in last weeks episode, Vandal Savage refuses to let his special brand of pure evil let up.

This time around the team is split into groups for different assignments. With Dr Stein and Ray teaming up to figure out a cure for Kendra who has shards of the sword filtering through her blood, Rip and Sarah couple up as a pair of investment bankers to try and track down the apparent source of Savage’s power, the beginning of his wealth in 1975, and that leaves Firestorm guy who gets coerced into helping Captain Cold and Heat Wave steal an emerald to deliver to Cold’s father to stop him from getting arrested and harming Snart’s childhood memory of him.

Safe to say, things don’t go to plan and the three story arc formula really helps highlight all for the characters to get their own story and not get lost in the large roster of superheroes that this show packs in. In particular this week the forming of Rip and Sarah was a lot of fun to watch. From the strutting in their 70’s gear into the bank, to the fast paced action scenes and fighting, it was good to see Sarah getting there after somewhat of a back seat in the pilot episodes. Ray and Dr Stein work to shrink the ATOM suit to get into Kendra’s blood stream with some pretty impressive TV special effects. Snart reveals a softer and sensitive side to the criminal mastermind with a flash (ha!) to his past.

This show is just starting to find its feet and hopefully as more episodes unfold we will get hooked into the journey of these superheroes. I for one am personally loving every minute of this and wish I could binge the whole season right now.
